G, Jon and whoever else is interested this is what Fossy says on slicks.....

Hi kev, dont worry to much on the appearance of your rear tyres, so long as they are even and not chunked at all, or deep valleys forming 1" from the edge. If you are experiencing any chunking/scaring/etc, you rear shock is either too hard or compression is too stiff/slow. Make sure you run them at no more than 30psi back/front.
I always used dunlop slicks as they are the best. K108 rears and K106 fronts or R420's as they are more common. Yes they last longer and yes you will keep them up to temparature no problem, but do require warming with decent equipment for at least 1 hour prior to riding to heat the core cavity and rim. I have used dunlops at 26-29psi rear and 29psi front without problems.
For cartegena, id use a 758 front with a 640 rear or 3127 med/hard or 3128 medhard/ hard if tri compound, as its really rough surface there + hot.
Id need 4 rears and 2 fronts for spain for 4 days, but you probably dont ride as fast (no dis-respect) so maybe get away with 2-3 rears and 1-2 fronts.
For uk circuits, id always use a 3166 tri rear or 758-640 depending on temp, and a 950 front when cool and 758 when hot day/rough surface.
I have also used supersoft qualifiers on hot rough tracks and found they also hold up really well if your suspension is set right. Most people say the tyres are shredding up when they ride quick on trackdays, but more often than not, its the fact they have Ohlins all over their bikes, but its set up way wrong and normally far to hard on compressions and spring rate. get your suspension setup foryou by a repuitable tuner/trackside technician.

Looks like dunlop are the way to go.  By the way i have checked out a few of Fossy's posts and he seems like a really sound bloke, No bullshit (sounds fookin quick to) So i am taking this as sound advice but any more input wold be gratefully received (Tim  :icon_thumright:) Oh how did it go at donny buddy ?

Overload Overload

Good info by the looks of it Kev. You gonna try and get some then?
