Did try some DIY moulded wax ones once. Cant remember where I got them, might have been the chemist. They were quite cheap and did the job, but difficult to keep clean. I have reverted to the bog standard off the shelf green or yellow ones now. I think they were about 10 or 12 quid for 5 dozen from Sound Distribution. They seem to work fine for me  :-S

I have worn earplugs since I passed my test in '95. I wouldn't be without them as it all seems too noisy without them in nowadays.

These are the ones I use. 'Howard Leight Max Lite Green' Very good price too. I last bought 200 pairs on ebay for abour 25 quid.

After spending years as a dj I'm afraid my ears are fooked!!!!
Got the dreaded ringing, I do try to wear plugs but they don't really make a lot of difference.
