way to hard corr for me .........i did a bit of canopy stacking was top of a four man and been bottom of a six stack.......plus al so i could do a pretty good ground surf in my days that meant covering about 20 yards...........noadays these guys cover 50yards over a pond and don`t get wet.........me i wood end up drinking me way out 

my speical trick was to trash my canopy for a bout a 1000 ft this means to totaly colasp the canopy buy pulling down so hard on the stering lines that it forced all the air out of it so it just looked like a bag of washing over your head...........yea baby........going down under canopy at about 60mph then just let the togals fly the canopy would just reinflate in about 2/3 secs..................hard corrr and not for the faint hearted

I've done 58 IIRC

Just as a holiday fun thing really, done it in France & Florida, never jumped in the UK ,  wasted far too much time sitting around when learning to paraglide waiting for the weather to sort itself out to be arsed with that again.

Not been for about 3 or 4  years now, combination of various factors not least of which being the doc refusing to sign my fitness to jump cert (can only self certify if you're under 40) 'cos I'd eaten too many pies...

But.....

.... I've lost 4 stone since last summer, the doc now loves me again & the rat's demanding his feed, so I'm heading back to France during the summer to scare the bejasus out of myself & the JM !   

So we having a group trip than ?

yeah think I would feel more comfortable how about we just tie ourself on a rope to bob and then jump so if it all goes pete tong he can bring us down......

though think I may have to lose a few pounds not sure his chute could take my weight has well

maybe we can do a trackday skydive holiday thing where we incorparate the 2 ride to france or spain trackday close and DZ close and those that don't wanna sky dive do the track those that don't wanna track sky dive and those that wanna do both do both

I started jumping back in 82, then left it a few years, had about 180 jumps by the time I joined the Marines in 88,  worked at a place called Dunkeswell and did more than 1500 jumps  and 20 hours freefall time by the time I finished.

Managed to become an AFF instructor, in fact I was the countrys first AFF graduate to become and instructor.  Repesented the Marines at National level in CRW back in 93 up in Bridlington and also took part in several demos over London as part of a tri service display team landing into Horseguards parade back in 2000.  Jumped all over the world including.,Florida, Spain, France, Belgium, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Germany and Sweden.

Loved almost every moment of it, apart from having to jump with people that wont take advice or criticism, (which is what forced me to stop).  Might give it  another go some day, having too much fun on me bike at the mo.

you will now that family of skydivers at brid .....father and two sons i think................one of his lads spanked in when on a down plane at langer ........its a while ago no mind but he was prop fucked up..........................do you remeber...........i know dave hickling and angie his wife ,plus did a lot of my forty ways with big dave morris and george pilkington............ .......glen keeeps trying to get be back in the sky but i got no kit anymore and have too much tied up in the bike...............but for old time shake wood luv to doo some more
