Remember the Moto Martin CBX1000? that was worth having, especially with a turbo.  Digging into the dusty recesses of my mind, what about the Reliant-engined Quaser?  I saw one on the Island and it looked a really good laugh.

:iamwithstupid:  i remember that fooker....feet forward jobbie,it was "the future" of motorcycling.......apparently.

Hey don't mock, what is a BMW C1, or a Suzuki Burgmann, or any other motorised armchair?  They all owe it to the feet forward brigade, no not choppers.

aye I like the thought of a top speed run at Elvington or Brunters , there's an idea and how about a blast at the 1/4 mile too  [whistle]

CBX's are 'orrible though two-strokes, they rattle just like if not worse than the CB900 from ahem that era  [whistle] :tongue3:

What an excellent read. Loved the stuff about how we played out all day etc. Used to leave the house at 9 and disappear (by bicycle) to friends houses all over the place.

Oh, once I passed my test bought a GPz600 and was amazed at its speed. A few years later went out with a girl who owned a RD500LC and shoot me down , but I was never impressed by it.

how times have changed, I bloody loved the 80's well except for my first marriage from hell that is  [whistle] :boxing:

Let's do something to start an 80's revival, now let me think, how about a starter with buying one of those leather jackets that was a load of small patches bought from the catalogue, so many people had them and even then they were horrible but no one cared  :icon_thumright:

do you remember those lids with the maltese cross on the side that were cool, and the old lids like the griffin and, damn I can't recall the first full face lid I had where the visor opened right back until it hit the back of the lid and jesus how it caught the wind, almost enough to break your neck    [rofl] [rofl]

I remember going on the bike of my mates GPZ900 and feeling cool when he lent me his alien helmet (anyone remember these ?) .

Just so long as no one suggest wearing Derri boots again.

Twin shocks, single disk and a proper paint scheme. Yamaha should do an R1 or R6 like that. (paint that is).
