Fractured ankle
« on: December 20, 2007, 11:18:14 PM »

I slipped outside of work today and put my foot down sideways. Thought i'd only caused a bad sprain but the first aiders told me to go to A&E. Low and behold ive bloody fractured my left ankle, no winter riding for me!

Im in a cast for a minimum of 6 weeks. Possibly 10.

Is anyone else going to be hobbling round or strapped up for X-mas?

Cheers.

Yeah she is (When she can get down here) Needs to pass her car test because she's currently using public transport and there isnt a direct route from mine to hers. (Approx a mile walk/hobble!)

At least i'll be warm inside!

ankles can be 1 of the worst breaks regarding re-hab,i broke mine in january this year and i'm still limping.it's not the bone thats the problem but the damage to the ligaments, physio does help so i would advise to get some asap, but it doesn't tickle :crybaby2:.

Bloody hell. January! That's a really long time, and yes, if i need it im going to make the most of it. (Want to start up some very physical activities & dont want to miss out starting in 2008)

Also 4 months?  Again still a long time, i really want to be back on my own 2 feet within 2 months but its not down to me.

I have a fracture clinic appointment @ the start of the new year so a week or so before i know the damage for definate.

I'll kepp you all informed though and i hope you guys get better!

Cheers guys!  :occasion14:
