Yeah indeed it is, one of those roads you need to have ridden a few times to know the surface and bends as its unforgiving and can easily catch you out, nasty little dip in the road, has caught many a driver out overtaking to be met head on  by another motor

The ICE thing is a very good idea or a dog tag around your neck.
I have just introduced an ICE form at work based on exactly this for our crew guys.
Put on who you are, blood type, and emergency contacts make sure it is a 24hr number and supply a second number/person  in case and don't forget any allergies or medical conditions etc. that the doctors might need.

Hi all

Christ that is scary.....

I did the Honda MAC riding course a few years back as it came free with my Honda Firestorm.  2 days round the Lakes with an ex-bike copper.....fantastic course that worked on bike positioning in the road to give you maximum visibility.....I would never have done a course like this if I had to pay for it but I think they are only a couple of hundred quid and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have less than 3 years experience......well worth a look!

Yep glad it was a near miss rather than a hit. And lucky th ebike came off ok. I think I probably would have dropped it. It's gonna take awhile to get your mojo back but it'll come.

It's these near missus that us realise how frafile life is and thats why riding a motorbike is such a thrill.

Stay observant guys  :icon_thumright:
