The rebuild continues, so engine is in and finally running. One small problem starts and runs fine but then starts to tighten up. So switch off and slightly panic as engine has been sat for years as a spare. Now on collection off engine and seeing that it was an ex-BSB engine it had no generator or starter motor. So had to strip these parts off my old engine and put on new. Now after chatting to a few people it was suggested to me that maybe the oil feed to the generator may off been blocked off to maintain a good oil pressure.
So had to start somewhere, and how lucky was I, on stripping down we discovered a grub screw tapped into oil feed line for generator(see pic)
Lack off oil to generator was overheating it.
Sorry about quality, but you get the idea.......
So now rebuilt and running sweet all that is left now is to flash ecu and put on new bodywork oh and get front wheel checked and straightened if needed.
Hopefully back in road for 1st April after Racefit make my new exhaust to match headers 😋
