Unlike many on here, I only started my biking life 5 yrs ago...

Initially planned on starting on a 250, a few work colleagues told me to scrap that & go for a 600. So I picked up a 2nd hand Yam MT-03.. great bike to start off on, loads of low range torque (for a starter) great around the city, but a bag'o'shite if you wanted to go over 70. Got bored with that after a year & a bit.. and sensibly, after checking out & testing several different bikes, for a C1H. Saw it for sale, great condition, decent price, & as soon as I went to see it - game over, there were no other bikes for me.

Bought it with about 11'000miles on it & I'm just about to hit 35'000. Can't see me ever parting with her... which is good, as all the 04/05 bikes I have seen for sale (haven't dug that much) have around 15'000miles on max.

So, how many miles have you clocked up on ya bike?   :occasion14:

Got my 05 in 2009, its on an 08 plate and had 1100 miles on it, its now on 4000 miles so about 2900 miles in 3 years

I did less than a 1000 miles on the road before converting it to a track bike and its not seen a road since.

Done about 600 miles in the 3 weeks I've had my '08.
No specifics on previous bikes, though calculating it I reckon on what is likely a wildly inaccurate guess of 150k total.

Well, I have a pair of Daytona Roadstar boots that have clocked up 90,000 on a K1100LT, the bike has long gone, but the boots are still going strong  :-P

Well, I've had my licence (motorcycle) for 11 years, though up until the past 12 months I've never had a complete year on a motorcycle! For one reason or another they were always crashed or off the road for at least a small portion of any 12 month period  :icon_scratch:  :emb:

So far I've clocked 6,000 on this ZX10R since I got it last April (2011).  Before that I had a ZX7R which I reckon I did less than 1000 the entire time I had it.  I'd guess 4000 on the ZXR750, a few on a borrowed bike and a good few thousand on my 400.

So all in probably less than 15,000 bike miles in 11 years!  :-(
