09 swing arm on 06 10r
« on: August 05, 2012, 12:24:32 PM »

Well just finished modding my o9 swing arm to fit my 06 ten so i don't have to change my wp race shock .
Picked swing arm up for 25 quid so didn't bother me if it didn't work started by working how much i needed to cut to miss the shock . Then cut this away and went about bracing the inside and fabricating a full smoothed arch behind the shock ,removes the arch where the hugger would go just got it back from mate who has painted it for me in a nice pearl satin black when i can get the photos re-sized i'll get them up looks really trick and a bit different to other arms.  :-P

Cheers mate haven't had time to fit it yet will be soon. Thinking next about what way I'm going to make my exhaust system go and thinking of making  shorter moto gp style rear tail unit out of ally.  Problem is got too many projects on the go at mo tl1000r cafe racer all ally panels with a single side swing arm and my wife's second bike gsxr 750 srad with gixxer 1000 front end rear shock and full yoshi system.   problems

Too many projects on the go is definitely the right kind of problem to have !   ;-)

That shock reservoir and preload adjuster look awfully close to the swingarm. You sure there's enough clearance when the bikes under load?

Yeah it's miles away the resivior is around 70mm away and the adjuster is off to the side so doesn't go any where near the arm already riden it and fine :occasion14:
