Noob from Bucks
« on: June 09, 2011, 08:19:15 AM »

Hi All

Just wanted to say hello.

I came across this site earlier this week after Googling for some parts. Anyway, I was surprised to see a UK dedicated 10R site after being a very early member of a US distant cousin (.net) and dropped off there as and other US forums as I had nothing to relate to really. There were a few UK guys on there, which was cool, but, they disappeared too. So, it's nice to have a UK community and I look forward to being a member forever.

Forever? Well I've had my 10R from new and was one of the first bikes to be delivered to customers other than race teams and picked it up sometime early April '04 and loved it ever since. I will never get rid of him as he's an extension of my body really. Previously I sat on a 7R for 5 years or so and loved that too. The only thing lacking at the time on the 7R was power (handling was awesome), do spend 5K+ doing a crank conversion, head work, blueprinting, etc. or get the 10R - no contest IMO.

Here's some pictures of the birthing and the 7R which shortly after these photos were taken went to make way for a ZZR1200, a sad day in my house.

Anyway, catch you later guys 'n' gals.
