road legal track bike
« on: May 20, 2010, 05:21:52 AM »

hi
im thinking of fitting track fairing to my 04 zx10r but would like to keep the headlight. Would i be able to cut out the shape in the track fairing and just fit it over the headlight?

cheers

Don't see why not!

I did similar on a ZX9R I once had, actually the fairind had the outline of the headlight so made it easy to do

good luck, don't forget to post pictures when you do it

it would be a lot easier to just put a spot light in there rather than the whole unit.

i want to do that because i want a road legal trackbike, with decent lights. i thought that a spot light wouldnt be sufficient for the road or would it? any suggestions on what spotlight to get? dont really know what im looking for.  do the spotlights have high and low beam?

cheers

alright will cant see the point in cutting a track fairing to put a standard light in surely just keep the oringinal and you will have nearly the same and wont cost you anything, but if you are putting a small light in there like the endurance racer s there is some point to that and they look the bollocks :icon_thumleft:
