hi all this is my first post
brought myself a zx10r  05 in blue and i love it !
i drag race a kawasaki h2 750 triple 2 stroke and i am the membership sec of the KTC uk
i never thought i would find a road bike that would excite me so much  :icon_thumright: i have had zx9r,s zx6 zx7rr the very early one with high lift cams and flatside 40mm carbs, close ratio gearbox but that was pig to ride on the road
the zx10r is so much more  B-)

thanks
christ thers a lot of catching up to do for questions and answers
i find the brakes incredible [but] i have in the pst 11 years had
kawasaki h1 1969 the original two stroke superbike with drum brakes that set kawasaki on the world map B-) and almost every model in between including rare 1972 h2 two strokes
tuned two strokes all kawasakis  [clap]
my dragbike runs 9.3  1/4 at 138mph  but we are working on a new engine at the moment that is producing 180rwhp out of a 2 stroke 780cc !!

the brake son the zx10 are light years ahead of anything i have owned, the only thing that was close was a kr1s [power to weight] as i think it shared the same brake s as the zx6r

i was looking for a green 1 but opted for the blue instead

q i gave it a real thrash the other night and the engine sound s a bit noiser when warmed up now  :emb:  can you give these bikes a good thrash and not worry about hurting them
as i am so used to replacing pistons on my dragbike

yes Gary,

these bikes are mostly bulletproof  they aren't those old (and bloody lovely bythe way) explosive 2-strokes  :icon_thumright:

many thanks
yes the old two strokes are great fun but very fragile the h2 is the worst of all  if anyone of you ever go drag racing at shakespeare county raceway come along and say hi :icon_thumright:

i was going to take the zx10 up there this weekend just gone but it was p---n down with rain here in watford [herts] and i ddint fancy the journey up and sitting waiting for them to dry the track out,i have read that the zx10r turns out about 10.4 in the 1/4 mile
anyone tried it ?
i was supplied a zx14r in oklahoma 2 years ago and ran it in the streetbike bracket class, and dialed in time of 10.2 but was up against a hyabusa and couldnt be beaten  [naughty] so i launched it and turned ina 9.9 1/4  and shot out of my class bracket :emb:  the zx14 had air shfter and was lowered etc but didnt feel as quick as the zx10  B-)
