Looking to get my suspension setup on the 10.
Has anyone set theirs up, looking for settings for around 15 stone, fast road riding with occasional trackday.
When i bought my bike i noticed the rear shock has around 8 threads showing? Is this required?
I was on a cornering course and instructor mentioned the rear height of my bike compared to a gixer
Mine was quite a bit higher and he was very shocked as to the riding position of bike he said it was setup for track.
Now i could say he is talking shit but he is a well known competitive racer up my way so i would think he would know what he was talking about.

log on to sports bike rider .net it lists all suspension settings for all bikes and conditions, i set my 10 up from there and it transformed it !!!!!

I've just fitted an Ohlins on the rear of my 06. Do you think it should be set up as per standard settings or will it need a little more tuning? If a suspension specalist takes your weight, could he theoretically set up the suspension without you being there?

if you spent the wonga on the ohlins go for the setup as well, a little bit more but then you know its perfect, and the settings are very variable dependant on your weight, go on spend the cash get it set up right and you wont regret it.  and yes if you give them your weight and tell them your riding style thats enough(in fact its the way its done quite often even off of the bike)
