how fit are you all.
« on: May 24, 2008, 10:59:03 PM »

right,,,,,,how fit are you track day guys and girls,,the reason i ask is because ive just done
cadwell and i was completley fucked.even after the first session i was feeling it,i got better
as the day went on but it was having a huge effect on the way i was riding.
i loved every minute of it and went better than i have ever done, but it was so phisical a track
i thought.
does enyone do any fittness work for these reasons .

i ache all over today,, [rofl]  [rofl]  [rofl]

erm pretty fit fella ... though i'll be honest my bike fitness was shit at cartagena .... but cartagena sorted that out for me..... 1 day trackdays don;t bother me any more

in fact 2 days at rocky I was still fine.... but then I do train 5 days a week in the gym  B-)

I think it is hard to be bike fit without riding. I lay concrete blocks most days but i still ache after a good track day. Only advise i can give is make a real effort to chill between sessions  :icon_thumright:

I'm not fit at all but can usually manage 3 trackdays in a row... fourth day at Cartagena I was starting to struggle and was only managing about 5-6 laps at a time.  Now that i'm starting to try and hang off the bike (and failing miserably) i'm feeling it much more so need to start doing something, what a thought !!

I can vouch for how knackered Spenny was lol. We saw him at Cadwell as he came off track first session. Poor bloke looked like he had been cycling around the track.

I've never found riding a road bike knackering. Apart from the occasional crash

:iamwithstupid: got to say I kind think the tiredness from riding is nothing compared to 65 Km insertion marches carrying 100lbs plus weapon then doing close target recce's and company attacks for a week while marching between points...

my worst exercise in the army for marching that was  100K in 5 days ........ my feets were fooked... and my back had blister all down it...  :-S
