tonights N Wales rideout Wed 14/05/08
« on: May 14, 2008, 11:10:10 PM »

well,

what can I say  [whistle]  it all sort of went like this................."come on lads we need to get out really early like 6pm" says everyone, I rush home from work , Jason has the bike ready and I almost jump straight on it to get to the meet on time, Wooooooooooohooooooooooo.

Jason (my lad) came along too, a sort of last minute thing. So there we were me, bunny, Chris , Dave and Jason. So off we headed into deepest darkest lovely 'Welsh Wales boyo isn't it' (to be read in a welsh accent of course  [whistle]

All was super sensible (well mostly anyhow) and then after around 15 miles Dave puts his hand up to stop, of course with me being old and all I'm behind him at the back , as usual  :tongue3: and he's only gone and lost a bolt from his gear lever assemby  [wall] well we hunted for the bolt and eventually Bunny Chris and Jason realise that we aren't there behind, probably after racing us  [rofl] for another 5 miles or so  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

So a short ride and no majors and the usual laughs of course and huge piss taking   [rofl] [rofl] [rofl] and super-mechanic-chris manages to sort Dave out (well it looked like he might have done as Dave stood there with Chris knelt in front of him at ahem waist heigh for quite some time  [whistle] ) by improvising a key ring loop to join the lever to the bar to get Dave home, what a star once again.

A good night even if we didn't ride many miles and once again a great bunch of 'lads'  :headbang:

Hey, my wheels do look a little bit pink here don't they  [whistle]

Jason saying to Chris.... "I'm sure valentino's warm ups are a little bit different to yours"

Ha ha....was  very funny!

And you failed to mention that is was MY, yes, MY idea to use the keyring.  Genius....   However, I of course didn't volunteer to make any ad hoc fix to Dave's bike as obviously I would have to a) get my hands dirty and b) might break a nail.

Great ride out, especially the extra 30 miles Chris, J and I did to come back for you two.  But was worth it, made another memorable night!

Tell you what, we carry on like this and our rides out will become the stuff of biking legend.  You soft southerners are soooo jealous...come on, admit it....Oulton Park and Welsh wales so close to our houses. You darken in our shadow you mere mortals of bikers!  :tongue3:

Oh....and that long straight over Deeside bridge should be made illegal....my god thats a bikers dream....oh yes....thats another thing you ain't got down there southerner pansies....wouldn't be able to do those speeds on the Dartford Bridge!  Well....you could but the toll at the end may be a problem! Nee Nah Nee Nah

Saying that though...what we get given with one hand, Wales taketh with the other.  Bad Tarmac, Gravel, Sheep Shit and Police Helicopters.  Not to mention the North Wales Polic (Mr Bloody Brunstrom *cough* cunt *cough*)....oh, and how titanium obviously isn't as strong in wales as it is in the rest of the world.  Just like Dave's gear linkage.

...following on from last weeks ride out...I would like to point out that Dave has not been getting ANY man love on the rigs.  None whatsoever.....he says he does fine on his own!

ahem.........ok yeh Bunnys idea, well I'm old and forget stuff  [whistle]

no rig man love, come on Bunny felling guilty are we [whistle] [rofl] [rofl]

anyhow, I recieved a message from my son today which goes like this, I think me Bunny and Chris need to talk in a quiet room  :boxing:  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

"Cheers for letting me come out. Was quite challenging keeping as quick a
pace as that after the spot that Dave broke down as it felt like i was
constantly up and down the gears to keep the power constant, but wasn't
immensely difficult.

And when both wheels come off the floor without noticing it becomes quite
worrying when you feel the back thud down and realise that you've just
launched it through the air haha."

nah, we're a sensible bunch overall I reckon, a quick blat now and then to freshen up sort of thing but mostly sensible and just a group of lads taking the piss out of each other at every opportunity. We really don't ride fast just at a reasonable pace afterall you only get one life  :icon_thumright:  well ok there is the occassional silly moment like...................

ahem............ at the lights some numpty did a bit of a burnout for a laff and almost choked my poor son in the rubber smoke, you know who you are.................errrr................ok twas moi  [whistle] :emb:  intimidated by Bunny's attempt at one

and there was the high speed ride over the bumpy undualting surface and and and....................nah nothing much just a load of fun.

Our rideouts are just a laugh really, just how we seem to like it  :icon_thumright:

well i do have to admit that i really enjoyed the run even if it was cut short by daves HAHA falling apart  [rofl]

was good to be out a little earlier this time and i thought the roads were still empty enough to be able to open the legs a little and get upto the national speed limit where possible lol

Bunny seems to have learn't his lesson and double checks, well triple checks his seat pod is fitted correctly before riding off  [rofl]

looking at the pics my leathers they do look as pink and as gay as andy's wheelies but can assure you that the leathers are red and am going to stick for andy and say the wheels are a lovely deep red but he's still gay  [rofl]

am glad you got back ok dave, i nearly got my AA card out and called it in but bunny's quick think about the key ring was i admit genius

but to be honest he looked absolutly mortified about picking some spanners up and having ago so it was left to me to sort the mess out and with a bit of magic i had sorted it really easily haha and away we went on our ride home

glad everyone got back safe and roll on next week

as for jay andy he was leading me and bunny, i think you should check those restrictors are still fitted  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]
