Steering dampers
« on: May 04, 2008, 07:51:32 PM »

Which steering damper do you think is the best for an 07 zx10r ? I have the standard fitment ohlins on at the mo but after a bit of a moment the other day i think i would prefer a damper with more adjustment.  I am considering revalving the standerd unit if poss but if a good damper came up at the right price before hand then i would buy that instead. After doing a search sprint and gpr seem to be the main 2 people buy..... But which one is best   :dontknow:

Just a note this is for a track only bike if that makes a differance  :icon_thumright:

Surely the Ohlins will have enough adjustment?

i'd just get an ohlins therefore you don;t need to change fitting kit just damper

I have a Hyper pro which is awesome

I have a GPR which seems ok

Did have a sprint also seemed fine Hyper pro has the most adjustment  B-)

Is the O/E fitment Ohlins different to the aftermarket?

I have an Ohlins on my '05 and there is a load of difference between the lowest and highest damper settings

Fido the std one on the 06/07 barely has much adjustment in it....

I heard its summit to do with them not trusting the numpty market and turning the thing right up and then trying to go into a turn and not being able to turn

the ohlins damper on the 06-07 model is a mass produced unit hence it is not upto much of a standard
