 its going to need changing more for track use than rd use and more for race use than track use if that makes sense    just keep a eye on its colour once it start to go brown ish   change it

i think he is saying,,any one whos quick,,as opposed to just riding around,ie like you.,,,,quick i mean.

can see his point if you do them regular and fast.,,,,i dont think halfords is the way to go,,i know it

Its hard to say how quick you are to warrant changing fluid what i mean is if your even one of the quickest in the novice group its worth changing maybe if its your first trackday and your new to it, its maybe not so important.
i change my fluid at least once a month, its well worth it as there is nothing worst than riding with shit brakes.

yeah I should change my fluid more........ but I haven't changed my trackbikes since I got it....... and they still stop as good as I need them....


the halfords shit was for my road bike .....

I don't know whats in it now as altamura changed the fluid when they painted my calipers 

knowing there rep it will be summit good

i think its easy to boil the fuild with the lower end of the market fluid. i had it happen at cadwell with just putoline dot 4 i then changed it to putoline dot 4 racing never had the problem since!
however i rode a zx10r the other day with a brembo m/c and braided hoses (all the same as on my 10) and the brakes were razor sharp! both bikes have got race pads in ect and my bike has done nothing, but the brakes are shit compared to this other zx10r, so i changed the fluid agian still no better, calipers are mint.
my point is even two identical bikes can still be totally different so fluid can make a big difference.

but it didnt,as you said you changed your fluid and it made no diff,but your right about same bikes  having
diff brake power,may be its just air,its a bugger to get out isnt it.

Before my incident at Knockhill i was having problems with my brakes and turns out my brake fluid was needing changed, got racing dot 4 stuff or whatever it is.... dont use it, it makes you highside in the next session
