racetecs
« on: April 04, 2008, 05:59:08 PM »

hi all,
i know theres plenty of threads about these tyres(mainly track talk)
but with good weather hopefully on its way & different views i'm  :icon_scratch:
what do the guys on here who use them on the road think
i'm itchin to put them on,i got k1 front k2 rear
some say u can't get enuf heat in them on the roads to get good grip, some say they're great from the start
best tyre i've used is a michelin pilot power which gave me loads of grip & confidence in the front
never used track biased road tyre b4

thanks in advance :icon_thumright:

I use them on the road pressure 36/36 you will get feel straight from the off and they get plenty of heat in them ... the carcase has loadsa flex so feels really good....

avoid rain though damp aint to bad as long as the roads haven't been salted....

I give you a warning these are dry tyres only on the road ... I can't ride 40% in the wet what I could in the dry  :-(

I find them fine just put a set on and the grip is awesome I also find the bike tips into corners really well. I agree with Grninja avoid wet roads.
