Well,
I've put on shadloads of weight over winter and now I'm on my 40's it loads up even faster, meaning that I need to eat better and most importantly get to a reasonable level of fitness.
I guess this is a battle that I have to live with now every year, long gone are the days when I ate and drunk all I wanted and stayed at a skinny 10.5 stones at 6 feet tall.
These days it's closer to 16 stones !
Well from 14.5 in the late summer to alomst 16 now is just bloody awful. There I was up ladders today cleaing the fascia and guttering thinking fekk me these ladders might snap with fat old me on them
I've been bus with DIY and gardening etc over the last couple of months but no real exercise, coupled up with 11 hours a day either sat behind a desk or in the car is just no good.
Here's the machine that WILL get me fit
It's my 5 year old mountain bike , I threw some cheap disc brakes on over a year ago and replaced the pedal bearing thing so it's all ready to go, looks like it'll get a run tomorrow if the weather is reasonable too
do any of you guys cycle to keep fit ?
