zx10r 04 vs 05

Hi to all,just been out for blast on my new purchase (zx10r 05 in the rare titanium colour) and my brother in law on his (zx10r 04 in that common black colour) and he seems to have better acceleration at low speeds almost if his gearing is different. is this the case or am i just more frightened of this thing than he is?And the buggers fatter than me!!!!

Only way to check the gearing is to count the teeth on the front and rear sprocket mate

mr K seems to have given me 50hp to much!!! but i think i can manage. O K maybe with a bit  more practice !!

answer to your question ... its probably just you need to get used to it.... even a slightly tunes zx10r to a non tuned one there is not much in it.....

get used to it and you'll be fine mate  :icon_thumleft:

Hi,were down in Poole on the south coast,so there is no difference in standard trim to 04 and 05 then?

no the forks were different and they had a different generator ... I think thats was the only difference  :icon_thumleft:

  it does take some getting used to 1st gear  :shock: either cracking it open or holding it to the limiter

mate when you pull of short shift at about 9 thousand revs and then pin the fucker hard till it stops then do it through all the gears and you will see the power of the ten  :headbang:
