End Can Options for 2008 ZX10R - Advice Needed!!
« on: March 04, 2008, 10:06:26 PM »

Can anyone advise me what end can options are available NOW (not in 2 months time) for the new 08 ZX10R??

If anyone has any pics of different after market cans on a new 08 bike that would be much appreciated also!!

Steve

I wonder if the Akro can comes in carbon fibre?? My 08 ZX10R is coming in Black - so would consider that option. Other than that im going to wait for Racefit to make a Mega for it. Im not that keen on the Growler, mainly because it was SO loud on the GSXR and a lot of guys had db problems on track days. I quite like the GP Tips that Steve at Speedycom has advertised on his site but again its going to be far too loud and will obviously have back pressure issues etc. Jury is still out i guess???

Read this, then ask about back pressure again.

Ask Twostroke how loud the 08 is without the can. [whistle]
Most of the silencing is done in the collector under the bellypan

It sounds the same as mine with the A&R baffles in. Not that bad and a far deeper bellow than the growler. Not harsh at all.
