North West Newbie
« on: February 26, 2008, 10:29:19 PM »

Hi There

Just thought I would introduce myself as I have been lurking for a couple of days. Anyway made a snap decision and bought myself a new ZX10R. I have been riding for twenty odd years, mainly Jap sports bikes, including three Kwacs. My favourite was my ZXR 750 H2 thrashed and crashed.

I don't drive a car so have been getting around on a GS1150, which is still my day bike (Hey I'm middle aged). That said I have enjoyed pissing around on a Daytona 675 for the last two years, it got traded for the Kwac.

LMAO tonight when I read the latest Bike. Ermm interesting views, glad I take no notice but if you were undecided might well put you off buying.

Great site by the way, roll on Sat and the rest of the season.

Cheers

Welcome to the site Simon.  :icon_thumright:

Where abouts in the north west are you from, we have quite a few senior (older) members up that way and I'm sure they'll be happy to meet up with you for a run.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. Glad to see there a few other mature? :glasses9: riders on the site. Grinja will look out for that issue.

Majickwak and zx10rbob, I am in Southport so would be up for a meet, usally stay North/East of Southport as North Wales has a cretin for a chief constable. Real shame as the roads are good in contrast to the traffic policy.

zxyogi it's an 08, wanted it as soon as I read Roland Brown's article in the Mag rag, a visit to the rocket centre pushed me over the edge(after a truly pathetic attempt to be objective over a fag outside). Didn't even sus the insurance and minor details like dosh before I did the deal. Bit like when I got the H2 when they came out.

Sold that for a ZZR1100, which despite being a good bike just never did it for me. Anyways glad to be aboard, cheers to those I have not mentioned.

Cheers

Simon
