« on: February 21, 2008, 08:08:48 PM »

Does anyone get fed up with all this talk about banning bikes and taking away our freedom on the roads....what is the world heading into....

Yep i ignore those bits of mcn sensationalism. Just read the product reviews,  the racing stuff and the "bikes on the box "page and you'll be fine mate

yes completey agree with R1 on this, it's all about getting those sales regardless of whether there's anything behind the sensationalism as Andy calls it. :icon_thumright:

Shock Jockeys with a word processing application and someone else to spell check it (I'm sure they take a day off the day before printing every week  [rofl] )

Just look at how the daily newspapers sell each day, it's all shock this, fear that and ban something or other.

30 minutes of the news in the evening is enough for me to keep up with current affairs.

I was one of those new bikers that bought the MCN every Wednesday without fail, then I found information on the internet and I've not bothered since.  Over the last 5 weeks, when doing our grocery shop I've picked up the MCN and stuck it in the trolley and within 2 aisles I've rammed it between the baked beans or something.

same old articles just written in a different way.  it just seems to be
the general bolox that people who dont like bikes want to hear.

i dont buy mcn, just read the sport sections then put it back!

cheapskate :dontknow: no not at all.

wot amases me still is that when non bikers go on about them
seeing a 'harley ' the other day etc. some folk just dont get it
do they eh :dontknow:

lets just keep riding and enjoying it, let the uninformed rant
and rave about it. they know fuck all.

Probably right there Andy, I did the same on the way back from the gym this evening, picked it up and saw that they had a review on the ZX250 or whatever it's called, then saw the grab line "Something about dissapointing", put it with the birthday cards this week though  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

I bought it every week for about thirty years, but it got so full of crap that I stopped, it means I can justify an extra magazine a month if nothing else.

Agree with that 100%

Always 'bigging' themselves up.

Only read it for race reports   and never buy it
