Hello everybody 

I looooooooooove bikes, you'd never guess which one I drool over most. The thing is I have no clue about turning myself from a car only driver into "Little Miss I only ride hot bikes so deal with it". So will some very nice person (preferably in the South West) teach me what bike I should be learning on and how to ride it,which leathers I'll look sexiest in and all that stuff please?

depend on you age to what your allowed to ride... but once you pass you test you can have pretty much any bike on a restrictor....

a sexy little ZX6R B1H

would be a good bike to learn to hoon around on one you have a couple of years then there is only one bike to get and thats  the

ZX10R

WEll hellooooo there little miss zxgirl

first thing wood be find your local bike shop,and ask em how much is a CBT test..............you will have to take this first as so you can start to ride any kind of bike on the road................

then there are a few choices of bike test to take the normal test is fine but would give you a restriced licence,this would last for two years and the bike can have only 33bhp.....................or spend some more money and take your direct acess test and just buy a ZX10R, then just give us a call and we can have a ride out together on are tens.............aaa anit that a nice picture



P.S welcome on board.............most of the above is corect,but for fucksake stay well away from the ten,for at least 3yrs...................................happy riding

I was only being friendly as I live in the SW so I was just being neighbourly.


Bloody Nora, anyway as the other dirty old men have said, your choice of bike depends on your age, but if your over 25 then just go for the DAS (Direct access) route and get yourself a nice ZX6R.  I understand the B1H to be a little harsh suspension wise, but I've never ridden one.  I can certainly reccomend the C6F though.

As for leathers, still need to see them on you before I could even consider commenting.

Wellllll...I've only been a pillian passenger on some cbr ....dont even remember that one..but mostly pillianed on a ninja and god did it give me a thrill everytime!

I'm only 19 so I really don't think I should have a zx10 for a while anyway..I know they require respect along with experience. I'm happy just getting rides on them for now...any takers?

Someone recommended a honda cg125 to learn on. What do you guys think?

Just up the road in North Brizzle, don't know Taunton to well, but I'm sure I've seen a few bike shops down that way.

Wouldn't reccomend a CG 125 myself see here

I would probably reccomend a Honda CBR 125


or the Aprilia RS 125


I'm sure you'll get more enjoyment out of those than a CG125

Not sure on the rules for bigger bikes with 33bhp restricions and age, but that could be an option although I expect that the insurance would be a little steep though.

my dear..you picked a great place to get advice...the guys on here are great....the 125's are a great starting bike...even the 250 ninja is nice to start on....

I wouldn't btoher getting a crappy 125...... not worth the effort.... get youself zxr400 or zx6r and get the 33 BHP restrictor kit... at least you can get used to the characteristics of a bigger bike... and you will look cool.... 125's are for 17 year olds....

and them cg125's are horrible I did my cbt on one no breaks no power in fact I could probably run faster 

I can't talk though my first bike was a zx7R which was a beast..... could get insurance cheap enough so I downgraded to the zx6r G1 which was an awesome learner bike.... would recommend to anyone  not to focused but just enough to hoon around on
