fook it was cold sunday morning

took the 10 up to racefit for the new growler and had to stop every 10 miles for the first 2 hours as it was so cold....I left at 7.30 in the morning....it was a toss up between going above 70 which seemed to be the best speed for keeping the wind off the hands and going slower to reduce the wind altogether hitting the hands....and then my feet froze....ouch...mind you after 10.00 it got warm and the remaining few miles were fun fun fun....

the new 10 feels slower than my R1 between 100 and 140 in 6th..hope thats just me....and or its the tightness of the engine...its only done 500 miles now...and i only hit this speed a couple of times but still...will go out on the R1 this week and try to compare...

All the mags cant be wrong on the speed thing either........R1ninja will have summat to say about that methinks......  :roll:

yes I know and perhaps once I can really let her fly, after the first service things will be a bit better, and i was in full leathers armour, woolly jacket rucksack etc....she handles better thats for sure...mind you its damn hard suspension want to get that softened up..

Still love the feel of her she just dont feel like the beast everyone is saying....and the R1 is a total pussy....

twostrokes everyone isn't saying she is a beast  :dontknow:

the original is the beast the 06/07 was more livable on the road and the 08 is being said to be the happy medium... not a complete animal but not like the 06/07  :icon_thumleft:

hmm read the MCN report...they seemed to be saying they could not use the full power...hmm its certainly a lovely bike and power delivery seems clean and smooth...NO POWER BAND SO FAR.

dont get it until friday, then its the first service...then I am out on her again on Saturday for a ride out around hampshire...you lot coming...its a very special day for me
