Hi-Fi
« on: January 12, 2007, 09:22:33 PM »

Okay, so we know what some of you like to listen to, but what do you listen to it on ?

Is it an Ipod with 2 watt speakers or does half the national grid go off-line when you switch you amp on ?!!

My gear is real audiophile stuff. A CD, Amp and speakers only - no flashy lights and effects buttons here. Sounds bloody amazing though !! :headbang:

I have a panasonic 5.1 dolby pro logic 250 watt surrond system reciever that I plug my newly aquired Ipod doc with remote...... does me and save space on big stereo's. I used to have a seperate Marantz Reference Amp and dual cd-r when cd-r's were pretty new. also had some mission spekers was almost a K of sound I had it in the block when I was in the Army.... used get on peoples tits that my stereo could drown out even the loudest stereo on full blast when mine were'nt even half up  [rofl] [rofl]I was gutted when I got rid of it.... took it in cash converters one month cause I was skint and ended up going on exercise and not able to get the thing back intime so the bar stuards sold it :-(

I do like my toys, I have to sacrifice some sometimes though.......

But I have the Beast so can't complain :icon_thumright:

Preferred set up is my Kef uni-Q's bi-amped through some Arcam amps with my source CD being a Marantz KI signature CD63SE but I've had it a few years now and it still sounds amazing just don't have enough room in my bedroom (shared house) so I'm now using a Pioneer AV amp driving a sub and some JBL monitors and surrounds with the Xbox 360 as source due to space and power constraints. It's not too bad but it ain't as good as my Kef's. Ipod is back up and mainly used in the car to save carrying stacks of CD's.

seems to be my ipod mostly but I do have a big old fuck off Kenwood thing that shakes the street if I want it too but it never really gets switched on, we have a big tv with a sony 5.1 jobbie so I guess even for a party we'd just use that one, I don't listen to that much music thse days as I'm always on here  :dontknow:

Arcam 7se CD, Arcam 8R and 8P amps, bi-amping and bi-wiring to AE Aegis 3 speakers. Fancy selling the amps and cd to replace with an Arcam Solo unit (when the tv gets replaced and we get a nice stand for it).
