Glenn, When you buy a white van you take on great responsability. Under no circumstances use the slow lane. You should infact be in the fast lane either doing a ton or 50mph ok maybe 40 (i have seen your van) there is no middle ground.

I think that a lot of the problem is caused by people travelling at 50 in the slow lane, i have to admit that I do use the slwo lane when I can but it is a bit hit and miss, a minimum spped of 60 rather than 30 might be a good idea to keep the motorways flowing, in effect we drive in the middle and outside most of the time 

Those big signs that are mostly used to warn of issues or drink driving should be bloody used more to provide guidance    just a little message to keep the speed up in the inside lane would be good, or don't stay in the middle lane
