Daz don't listen to these idiots  :tongue3: Getting your knee down is vital !! I suggest you spend a good few sunday afternoons practising at your local round about. You may be going round mallory in 57/58 but at the end of the day if you don't look cool in the pictures then the whole day is a waste of money  :icon_thumright:

 [rofl] [rofl]

R1 ninja has some kool pics round mallory without getting his knee down  [rofl] [rofl] [rofl] [whistle] (soz andy )

He gets everything down at Mallory usally.

So,getting your knee down makes you a good rider?Makes you a man?Makes your penis bigger?Don't think so,on the track i'm slow,on the road i'm fast, never got me knee down, but I am still a good road rider, have to be after all these years on the road, its keeping up with the joneses really, load of balllacks,I ride my bike for fun,not how 'macho' I am,or if I have the latest gear. Its about being comfortable with the  bike, and knowing your limits, and still having fun, whether you get your knee down or not.

Knee down plays its part on track but not on the road as already said Dave.

Even most of the top road racers dont get their knee down on lots of corners over on the Irish circuits.

I can get me knee down just because I tried hard enough and it's one of those things that I wanted to do for a long time, it certainly doesn't make me any faster and there's no need for me to grind knee sliders on the road but it is fun with sparky sliders  [whistle] [rofl] [rofl]

I won't do it many times, I just wanted to do it and did  :icon_thumright:

I've been riding bikes for at least a million years, well ok since I was 13 so ahem........28 years and only slid my knee last summer  :icon_thumright:  Keeping up is no problem albeit self preservation does come into play when you've got kids etc and your bald and wrinkly like me at least  :tongue3: :occasion14:

Exactly, did you feel a bad rider cos you aint  had ya knee down? No,of course  not,...........anyway,my wrinkles are deeper than yours, but I still ride quick, don't even worry about knee down shit, have raced and beaten several bikers around Slough,no knee down stuff needed.

we're not talking big penis's here though dave..... if you actually got you knee down then you would have more confidence ... I am not saying its the be all and end all but you are saying you are quick then to who..... track settles it ...... it show skill....

for example Henas the wheel guy that come out with us , he is quick very quick on the road .... he come on track and he couldn't touch me....

we was on snetterton and its a right hand track .... he can't get his right knee down because of a knee injury and they held him back.....

again I am not saying its the be all and end all but its all about confidence...

any how you can show us how its done nextg year when the weather is better buddy  :icon_thumleft: I need to brush the cobwebs out  :icon_thumleft:

Something I just gotta do this year  [whistle]

Apparently I was getting close ( according to G ) but not having ridden properly for at least 10 weeks is not going to help the progression  [whistle]

" The Circuit " here I come !!! ( well , once it warms up a bit  [wall] )
