newbie saying Hi
« on: December 11, 2006, 05:59:40 PM »

Hi there

Just joined the site, found it doing a google search today.  I've currently got a GSXR750K5 which I am trading in for a brand new ZX10R - picking up the green meanie on Wednesday morning  ;D

Just had a bit of a glance through some of the usernames and I think I know majickwak - we met one morning after a guy dropped his bike infront of me on the way to work.  So if its the same majickwak, then Hi Ian  :icon_thumright:

Anyway.  I've just finished work for the day, so I'm off home now.  Catch you guys and girls later

Hi All, thanks for the welcome.  I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.

[rofl] at majickwak - stalker indeed   Not seen the lad since, was probably just badly bruised, bless . . .

I ride all year round, only take the car if its gonna snow.  Had the gixxer 15 months and have done 27,000 miles already, so decided it had to be traded it whilst it was still worth something.  Got a fantastic deal on the trade-in and also a briliant price on the 10, so I'm a happy chick at the moment.  It would be nice to wait till the spring to buy a new bike, but there is no way I would get such a good deal, so it has to be now.  Anyway I figured if I can handle the power in the crappy weather, I will more than ready to thrash it when the spring comes.  I test rode the demonstrator on a day when the sun was shining but the roads were still soaking wet, and I had great fun  [whistle] :glasses9:

Where did you get the 10 from?  Was it Arriva and who dealt with you.  I find them a friendly bunch down there.
Have you picked it up yet or is it coming this Wednesday?

well - picked it up on wed 13th.  So frustrating running it in though!!! 4k revs for 500 miles, then 5k for the next 500 miles - yawn yawn.  I hate to say this but on Wed evening went out for a bit of a bimble, sat at max revs on the A46 and got overtaken by a bloody mondeo!!! how embarassing was that???  Good job it was dark  :emb:

Got it from arriva in bristol - I know all the guys really well so was able to get a cracking deal.  Infact they have already sold the gixxer, at least I know its off to a new home rather than gathering dust in their showroom.

Not got round to getting pics sorted yet - I promise that I will soon though
