HI mate. If the person who knocked over your bike admits it was his fault, try claiming direct from his insurance rather than through yours this might save you paying the excess. Afterall your company is only going to claim from them anyway. Hope you get it sorted quickley. You may have to keeep on at the garage/ assesers/ins company to make sure they are all talking to each other. :icon_thumright:

Well,I contacted PDQ,they are happy to repair it,contacted the recovery bloke who said that the insurance company had been in touch and someone was picking it up on Monday to take it to a repair place, but don't know where, and now gotta wait until Monday to try and get to them before he takes my bike away,so it goes to PDQ and NOT their repairers, bloody mess aint it,some twat mashes it,and I have all this aggro. Got no bike to go to work, also gotta wait until Tuesday to see if I can have a hire bike. [wall] [wall]

sorry to hear whats happened.  Happened to my 10r a couple of months ago so I know exactly how you feel  [wall] .  Like shotgun said though, its best to deal directly with the other persons insurance company, then you dont have to stump up for the excess.  When I ran up my insurance company they actually advised me to go direct to the woman's insurance company, when I rang them up (she'd already prepped them with all the details etc and gave me a contact point), they couldn't do enough to help me, provided me with a hire bike and kept tabs on the work that was being done - even sorted out extending the hire period when the work wasn't completed in time.  good luck with it all mate
