cheap parts for my lads KX250 - can you help
« on: November 20, 2006, 11:05:37 PM »

ok does anyone have any contacts etc so I can get some cheap parts for the 1993 KX250?

Rear shock

full graphics (sticker set) and seat cover

looks like I'll get a good deal on the other stuff locally, it's the rear shock that I' mostly looking for as the one on it is fooked and cracked, it's the wrong one

Well if you don't ask  [whistle]

Rear shock rebuild is a diy job on a motoxer. Just need it gassed professionally when you've rebuilt it. If not then try any of the breakers in tmx news.
get this book too

http://www.tesco.com/books/product.aspx?R=0760319758

By Eric Gorr, ex factory kawasaki mx mechanic. Loads of useful model specific tuning tips for older bikes.

Also get a flywheel weight. Will tame the power "hit" so your lad can really master the bike to start with

Thanks,

the flywheel weight sounds good but the shock is cream crackered as it was the wrong one and had been fitted incorrectly thus creating a crack near the base  :crybaby2:
