I used to do alot of clay pigeon shooting... I was 2nd in class in the world tripple classic... National inter counties A class champion... and finished second in the county at the inter county national's (the guy that was first is ranked 5th GB and captains england!!) plus many other smaller victories. Have packed it all in now as it had taken over my whole life..One sunday i had to shoot three comp's one in plymouth one in purbeck and one at southern counties in dorset.. I had already won the series but had to attend the final's to collect the cash prizes... they were all on the same day!! after 2 years of driving around the country every weekend and not seeing the family i decided bollox to it and walked away much to the disgust of my sponsers. I coach now just to keep my hand in and to make sure devon stays the top shooting county.. Other than that it's family, bike, work in that order.  :icon_thumright:

good thread this but i dont have any other hobbies accept riding my bike.
well thats not true really as im abit of a ahem barron lol
i really have been thinking of doing something over the last year or so to improve my lack of fitness but cant decide what to do.
often thought of getting a mountain bike as i used to cycle alot in my youth but also considered taking up akido again.
plus then theres the problem of finding the time to do stuff and fitting it in with everything else

I hit the gym pretty hard..... I am just about to change my diet to put on some severe bulk... wanna break the 15 stone lean mark... I am 14 stone Fat at the minute so I have a way to go :-O

computer's I am alway on them... cause of my work so I am alway tinkering somewhere....

I do love mountain walking/climbing but seldom get time to do it... I took the misses up Helvellyn once and she didn't know what she was in for but when we was back in the caravan she said she really enjoyed herself....

I like to push my body passed the pain barrier it feels good  :icon_thumleft:

I have done all sorts of Martial arts... Tae Kwon Do , Muay Thai , Judo (as a kid) ,and lately MMA all gets put on the back burner as I prefer the GYM  :icon_thumleft:

Bikes are my main hobby whether it be riding, trackdays or watching the racing but the gym and weight lifting is slowly taking over the rest of my free time.

I love most sports but dont really play/do many anymore. I used to play football twice a week, squash 3 times a week, swimming. I love canoeing too but never do it anymore. I still like a game of snooker/pool.

I like just chillin at home or going to the cinema too to watch a good film.

Bikes be the main one, not just riding them, but the whole maintaining, modding, building stuff as well.

Other than that, I try to get in as many visits to uneven white places as I can during the winter, mainly skiing but am also known to do the boarding thing now & again when I feel the need to get in touch with my gay side....

Go to quite a lot of gigs, mainly rock, punk etc. but I'm open to anything.  I much prefer smaller places like pubs, clubs etc. but anything up to the Brixton Academy is fine, really dislike arena/stadium ones, nothing like the same atmosphere & the sound's generally shite as well, basically they're just money generators - there's a big difference between that & seeing a band play to a 100 or so people in a pub when you know they're doing it 'cos they enjoy it rather than simply going through the motions for the money.

Go to the gym, do a bit of road cycling to keep fit, have done a fair bit of martial arts in  the past mainly Karate  & JKD, would like to get back into it, but bit tricky whilst I'm working nights.

Do like a decent drink & good quality food, hence the importance of the item above !

Have & will try most things though, tend to have a low boredom threshold so variety IS the spice of life !

Oh & I finish here at 03:30 tomorrow morning & then ditty-bop straight down to Gatwick to hop on a big silver (OK, white & orange !) bird  to France so I can spend the week at this :

ditto, good thread...

during the week, normally i do an hour in the gym before i go to work. i try to be in work for 7am, so i like my morning buzz in on the ten :) im a very sporty person, competed at all levels to county at most athletics, swimming and hockey, nearly played nationally but messed up my knees a little doing too much cross country running and landing on them on a highjump. i still swim, play hockey and love cycling, which is great training for track and race meets on the sv.

im a member of a sports club that does everything from mobile phone throwing competitions to the isle of wight cycle we did last year. www.8thdayuk.com. its great for meeting people and they recently did a motox day too (which clashed for me :(). we also go out for dinner, drinks and have parties. ive surfed, parascended, waterskied, iceskated, abseiled, climbed and trained a lot with the army when we did d of e when i was a younger. i look good in camo gear/uniform u kno :) oh yeah we used air rifles too, archery, blah...love all that. anyone know any good gun clubs? im a good shot and wanna get back into it!

i love snowboarding and am quite advanced en piste. i can get down anything and have timed myself on the gps doing about 70mph at sunshine, banff in canada :) was cool cause there were some yank soldiers there learning to ski and i put them to shame lol. their faces when they saw i was female lol...heavenly in californ-I.A was cool too, we visited the casinos also.

i love travel. unfortunately ive only ever really done the west. big ideas for trips i have on my list are the trans siberian express (i speak a little russian), south america (my spanish is pretty good), new zealand, japan (id love to live there, love the food, martial arts i fancy, too, the language, etc...), thailand, hong kong, india (my parents were both there at the high comission), pakistan, south africa, basically all for the food and the extreme sports i could do there. i even love aeroplane food and all the packaging lol. languages too, i speak french almost fluently once ive been in france again for a couple of days.

i scuba dive with BSAC, am an assistant instructor, havent done much diving since i started biking but aim to remedy this now i have a camper van :) i love scotland for diving. picked up some amazing mussels near ballymory (whats the story) and the skipper cooked them for us while we changed out of our gear! divine!

i mentor kids at the local school near where i work. i also second to do mock interviews both for academic and business purposes.

then theres the miscellaneous stuff like dinner with mates, cinema (love films), diy, music con.certs (but dont mention robbie)

cant stand gardening, gossiping or shopping. i usually know what i want and buy online, phone and then pick up! im also almost tee total...

well wot a great selection of hobbies,

fair play to all of you. +bhp allround.

fitness is good for the mind, havent been able to train or do anything last two weeks as
i got an elbo injury, its prety much sorted now but im going to give to the end of the
month just to be sure. i ignored it for two months and it got worse.
was a sort of 'tennis elbo' injury from my boxing. :icon_thumleft:

i get very frustrated when i cant excersise or go out on the 10r. [wall]

in a way im looking forward to autum/winter, im not a saddo but want to go out
on the mountin bike and workout more as i tend to put about 10 to 12 pound on
over the summer as the bike takes up half of my workout time. :icon_thumleft:
