I just need to vent my anger. sorry for the title. As some of you know my bike was reversed into last week by a lady who couldn't see a bright green bike. Well at lunchtime today I arranged to take the bike to the main kwak dealer in bristol, and pick up the hire bike from her insurers. I arrived at the dealers, and was chatting to the guy who was delivering the hire bike for me. He wanted me to sign some papers so I put my lid on the floor so that I could lean on the seat of the bike to sign on the dotted lines. So far so good . . . Then he needed to move his van so I had to push the hire bike (bandit 600) out of the way. Thinking ahead I thought "If I leave the lid where it is he will run over it", so I moved the lid over so it was by the base of the wall. Pushed the bike out of the way, he reversed out and I pushed the bike into the normal parking area outside the shop. Well one of the guys from the shop distracted me and we got talking about the bike and I grabbed a glass of water. Low and behold when I went to get my lid it had been stolen - Arai RX-7 corsair, complete with my alpinestars gloves inside. As you can imagine I am not too pleased at the moment. Infact I'd like to punch the feckkers face in. I've managed to borrow a really old knackered lid from the dealers just to get me back to work, but I've had to fork out for a new pair of gloves.
OK, I know I shouldn't have left it unattended, but for f**ks sake it was a bike shop that is frequented by bikers. I'm angry with myself and really angry at the tw*t that has stolen it. The guys from the kwak place are going through the cctv footage to see if they can find anything, but the cameras weren't pointing at the bit where I had left it.
How much more bad luck can a girl have ? ? ? Oh and to top it all, on my way back to work some bloke in a van nearly side-swiped me, just what I needed with a borrowed lid on
Thanks for listening, I think I've calmed down a bit now
