I haven't ridden one so cannot comment on that ... I feel that the Jap bikes are just a better bike in general.... I prefer the looks of the gixxer and the seating postition too.... and the main reason

I was chasing fridayman on his... and it was hard for me to get away from him it just cornered so damn fast  :shock:

agreed I am no riding god... far from it... but I am quite quick.... and he was like a man possesesd on it.... they do look so good to  :icon_thumleft:

Performance Bikes did a 24 hr trackday about 6 months ago with these 2 bikes at the Metzeller test track in spain......the 675 actually lapped slightly faster that the 750 but this might have been down to the Gixxers suspension being slightly worn.......anyway the Gixxer completed the 24 hr test...the 675 engine blew after about 9 hours.....

Both of them are proper weapons in the right hands at the track.......depends what you are going to use it for I'm not a fan of smaller capacity bikes on track as I like having plenty of power to get past people safely.....I would go 750 out of these 2.....I've just never been particularly impressed with Triumphs

A mate of mine broke the gear box (or big end we're not sure which)while testing a TT600, I was busy signing the papers for it. I didn't complete the signing and the bike engine was rebuilt, I won't touch a Trumpet after that.

whilst I do like the 675 a lot the Gixxer would be my choice, it's got good pedigree that's do for me  :icon_thumright: also if it's to be tracked there will be an abundance of spares unlike the 675 which is not as popular  :dontknow:

Get the Triumph. NOT!  [rofl] OK, so I might be a little biased here, but I've heard of several trumpets sounding the last post. Also, the low down grunt on the trumpet is probably gearing more than anything. Stick a smaller front cog and a R1 throttle tube on the Gix and you're laughing. If I could have two bikes, I would have a 750 track bike too.

How's the choices going Andy?

I'd personally go for the 750 over the 675 for alot of the same reasons stated above. Reliability issues with the trumpet are the biggest worry. I know the Suzuki wont have the best build quality but i think the trumpet looks like a toy in comparison.

Also i dont think you would get the top end power that you will with the 750.

The standard can is also a beauty as far as noise goes. Really screams up in the rev range, as im sure you found out :lol:

I like the built in indicator too.
