Hmm, have taken the 10 into the main dealer today for the new swinging arm and for them to investigate the vibes again but when you're told, "all bikes have a natural resonance that you can drive through", got to say I'm not hopeful... Felt like saying, you go for a 10 hours drive and tell me how you drive through a 'natural resonance' that's there from 4k to 11k revs? Oh and how much feeling you got left in your fingers?  :-O

To be honest my 05 vibrated at certain revs quite badly from new but now it doesnt at all, mine now has about 15k on it and i think the vibes disappered around the 5k mark.

Can I just clarify this "Vibes"  issue, I've had my 10 almost a year now and to be honest I've not had any issues that I could write home about, ar all the 06/07 bikes affected or is it some?
Now, saying this I have noticed a couple of times that my right hand little pinkie has gone numb, is this caused by the vibes?  If so, why only 2 or 3 times over the course of the year, why not all the time?

It wasn't too much of an issue for me until my trip... Have you ever spent more than a couple of hours on the bike?

I find that if you are riding slower then you tend to sit up more you then get affectied by the feeling being lost in your hand..... I had this more on my 7R as this was more on the wrists..

I have had a white hand filtering though traffic with a new tight glove it was murder... my glove is now lose and no longer get the numb hand... I do believe that the gripping the bar contributes to the white hand thing  :icon_thumright:

yeah I road to liverpool took almost 4 and a bit hours with 2 stops in rain you wouldn't want to drive in let alone ride in.... my hand were ok but I find its the around town stuck in traffic that my hands used to get that funny white bit, and only when my gloves were too tight

Rode from Salisbury to Skeggy, 3 or so hrs and the only thing I found was numb arse and some wrist ache.  The finger numbness was from 3/4 hrs trips!

Well, the end of my right hand index finger is still partially numb from the trip, think it may be permanent damage now.

I dont have a problem on long trips.  I've done 3 to 4hrs straight off (stopping for fuel obviously!!) and not suffered.  However, it does sometimes happen on shorter journeys, especially when I'm doing a lot of filtering - I think I probably hang on tighter when I'm filtering.  The only other time I might get a bit of a twinge is sat at a constant speed for ages, ie on the odd occasion when I use the motorway, then I just think its because its a continuous vibe at the same speed.  The 10 is definately a lot more vibey than the other bikes I have ridden.

Left bike there all day Friday, gave them a thorough explanation about the issue, how, when and where it mainfests itself. Picked it up first thing saturday morning to be told, "it doesn't vibrate any more than our demonstrator, want to have a go on that?". They didn't even take it out on the fucking road.

I am absolutely steaming about this, they couldn't give a toss on the face of it. Have written to KHQ this morning and explained how I intend moving forward with this, will report back...
