Bit of a bummer there, but any crash you can hop away from....   

Sounds likea  bit of araldite or chemical metal should get the cover sorted, he's got a few days to see how the ankle goes, but if he can get a little weight on it he should be able to ride the bike home as it sounds like the RH one, so once on the move he won't have to worry about using it, unlike the LH one when he'd need more joint movement to  go up & down the gears.

Bit disconcerting to hear about the boot coming undone though

They delayed it first due to oil on the road near the bungalow. Then the weather when tits up on the Mountain.

aye just read it online, what a fekker and tomorrow's ridng looks like a washout for all who would love to ride the circuit in their droves    it'll pick back up though 

forecast is a bit crap for Sunday but then clear for the whole of next week, not hot but no rain

cheers for all the kind words fellas..... am back home now and the bike still in IOM I really didn't want to lump the bike home with a make do bit of araldite the bike was a minter so anything I can do to keep the engine that way will be good so gonna pick it up in a couple of weeks
