New user from Kent
« on: March 28, 2016, 08:29:52 PM »

Hi All
Joined the forum today. I have just bought a 2010 ZX10R. I pick it up this week  :-P

My last sports bike was a 2000 zx6R. For the last five or 6 years i went over to Enduro
type of bikes which were also a lot of fun.

Looking forward to joining in the fun here Steve

Thanks Guys. Picked it up yesterday and took it for a spin with my mate on a fireblade. Found the front suspension too hard for my weight because the front wheel was lifting on every bump under heavy acceleration.
We went out today again and my mate adjusted the rebound etc and it feels much better now (-:

Stock suspension set up is out of kilter. Rear is as soft as the front is hard.  There's a lot of stiction on the forks. For now, you'll prob want to take out all the preload (8 rings showing) and all the rebound damping on the forks. A stronger shock spring will help to get some balance in the chassis. I spent a long time sorting out my gen 3 suspension, but its worth it in the end.
