ZX10R machines
« on: June 18, 2014, 01:33:40 PM »

So I have finally popped my 08 cherry

I have now ridden all 4 generation bikes.... ok the 08 I rode was ridiculously tricked up .... my was it quick...

so easiest to ride  4th Gen
worst of all 2nd Gen
biggest grin 1st Gen

third gen I would need a bit more time on and to probably ride a standard one to be able to give a better review but it was softer and a bit less hairy than the first gen, the power was delivered similar on the one I rode, but still not as animal

value for money pound for pound the first Gen is still the one to have.... if you can afford it get the 4th gen

but a first gen with about a grand worth of suspension worth from Maxton and you will be comfortable and as fast as pretty much anything on the road .... Still

I know want to play on more bikes  [whistle]

ive only ridden 1st and 4th gen bikes but Id agree with what you said on them. 4th gen is the one to race on but if you're doing trackdays, fun doesnt come in a better package than a gen1. Ace manic fun.

Having owned 2 gen 1's and a gen 3 I can categorically say the gen 1 is more fun, and even though it may produce less power, it somehow feels quicker (to me anyways). Would love a gen 4 at some stage but doubt I'll ever get rid of the gen 1 I currently own. Made that mistake once already, its not happening again lol.  [naughty]
