cheers matey, I know it not a realistic figure, and we are not finished with the system yet.
the main objective is to cure the flat spot that you can see between 6-8k rpm.

we have been testing some different configurations and think we have found some thing that cures it. the results will be clearer on the next dyno run

A bit more testing done now chaps.

we tested the same header set up, but added different lengths to the secondary lengths and link pipe
we've now cleaned the torque curve up, and its filled the void between 6k and 8K where the power and torque dropped off with the standard set up.
So now when it hits 6K it progresses much better into the curve rather than loosing it.

I have the dyno sheets in PDF Format but I don't have the software to change them into a different file type to upload.

Also the dyno was set on a DIN correction and we changed that to SAE to see if the figures would drop much, but they didn't.
In the last test we just touched 206BHP, and when we changed that to SAE correction, it still hit 201. and 86 ft lb torque

Sounds good Lee, Is that on a stock motor?

That's cool Lee. Mine made 198.4 on a Dynojet 250i Dyno with about 1000 miles on it.

Bloody good figures that.

I'm getting a bit of a flaming from a few people about the figures, but as I said before, I know they can be misleading, but I can only put up what the dyno says, if I said it hit 200bhp and had no proof I would be a liar,  cant bloody win either way :icon_scratch:

I agree Lee, Iv'e always said you could put it on ten different Dyno's and get ten different readings, it's a tool and obviously useful when your doing the kind of work that your doing, and as said you can only post what you get on the day. Good luck with it mate, I'll be interested to see how it develops :)

The key thing is before and after on the same dyno ....

that's what we are doing chap.

when the system is completed and a final map done i'll show the graphs, I just thought it would be of interest showing each stage as we go

I was referring to people rubbishing the numbers .. absolutes are nothing platform to platform but comparisons on the same dyno are valid :-)

What Mark said - use the same dyno for your development shows where you are gaining doing your mods.

Superbike fairings are here!!!
I got these from Mike @ racesparesuk, great quality as always

So while the exhaust and mapping is being taken care of elsewhere it gives me some room to get cracking with the paint scheme

as you can see in the pic, there are loads of swage lines in the panel, so will make it easier to separate the colours.

Little update chaps.

Mark finished testing the final part of the system yesterday at MSS Kawasaki, and compared his modified headers and link piper to a full race Arrow system, the results show that the Arrow makes more power below 5500 rpm but after that His system makes more midrange power right through to 9500 rpm where it then is pretty much identical up until the top of the rev range.

Now the system is ready for final fabrication, so I'm taking all the body work up on Monday for a test fitting to make sure the headers and link pipe don't foul the belly pan on exit, and to check how the silencer sits in line with the seat unit.
Then a final sound test with a new silencer he is working on.

I've not yet started the paint work as I need the bike to test fit the panels and to make sure the paint scheme I have in mind will actually work.
I'm pretty sure on the design I want now and have had the paint mixed so its just a case of putting paint on the panels
