Charity Sunset to Sunrise tour
« on: June 22, 2013, 12:10:05 PM »

Hi Folks

Later on today/tonight myself and a couple of friends are taking part in the Sunset to Sunrise tour to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. We will be leaving Holyhead at 930pm and riding through the night aiming to arrive in Skegness at around 430am for sunrise.
More details here:
http://www.bikers4macmillan.org.uk/overnightride.aspx
As i'm sure many of you are aware MacMillan do fantastic work to support people during some of their darkest hours. I unfortunately have personal experience of this as my significant other had cancer two years ago. We had so much help and support from MacMillan I cannot even begin to put in into words. Fortunately we were one of the lucky ones and she beat the illness and if alive and kicking now. She would be doing the ride too but hasnt really ridden in a couple of years so maybe next year.

Anyway anyone who would like to donate one of the lads I'm doing it with has set up a page on Just Giving please visit the below link;

Anything and everything you can give is most apreciated.

Many thanks
Griff

Well done for raising awareness and funds for such an excellent cause  :hello2:  I think we've all been touched by someone who has suffered from this dreadful disease.
Donation on its way guys  :-P  Ride safe & enjoy.

So completed the ride weekend before last and it was fanatastic. Great bunch of people and the weather held off too!
From leaving my house at 3pm Sat i covered 569 miles before returning at 830am Sunday morning. Hard going on the wrists and shoulders but pretty comfortable all things considered.

Thanks for all your support

Cheers Griff
