Rear Suspension
« on: June 09, 2013, 02:50:11 PM »

Looking for a replacement rear shock, Only for road riding, these companies seem to have some good entry level units built to order and you're own weight specifications.

Anyone  had any good or bad experiences with these.

Nitron, Maxton or Hyperpro.

Maxton are very good. Nitron seem to be gaining a very good reputation for their shocks.

I have never heard a bad word about a nitron or maxton shock and they both appear to be getting some very good reviews in the bike magazines. Never really seen much about Hyperpro to be honest and I can't say I've ever seen a bike with any on.

Have you considered sending your shock off to somewhere such as maxton or K tech? might work out about the same, or is it the look of an aftermarket shock your after as well?

I Have had a Ktech spring to suit my weight fitted fitted but I have been reading that the standard shock can't be revalved.

It is not for a 10r but for my K5 Gixxer 1000. Its done 34000 now and could do with a new one.

It is about looks aswell.

Thinking about a Nitron NTR Sport. Its an entry level one but custom built to my weight riding style etc.

I don't race or track day so this looks ok.
