What do you use.....
« on: February 06, 2013, 07:00:58 PM »

To strap down your 10 when trailering it around? Is it best to use ratchet straps or cam straps? What width of strap is required seen lots of different widths for sale so what would be good? More than a little nervous about strapping it down and trailering it for the first time !!

I also have a set of the straps that slip over the bars either side. Definately makes one man loading easier.

make sure you have at least two straps either side so if one was to fail you'd spot it in your mirrors rather than hear about it on the traffic reports. depending on type of trailer it may help to secure wheels to trailer with luggage straps to prevent it bouncing about.

Thanks fellas for all the replies some useful info there. I will still be crapping it the first time I strap the bike to the trailer...the only saving grace is the first time I use it will be for my Diversion 900 and not the 10!!

I did think that strapping it down by the bars would possibly cause stress or possible damage to the bars
