Nice to see another GPZ900 owner on here.   :icon_thumright:

I've had my A6 for about 15 years, not run for the last 5 of them though - wiring loom just got too flakey too take it anywhere,  it's been sat sulking in the back of the garage since, waiting for my promised full rebuild.

Still one of the best looking bikes of all time in my opinion & an all time classic - it will rise again !   :headbang:

I had a GPZ900A1 with cams like your's, those chocolate cams were a problem on the early one's weren't they. Like the 10 and the ZXR750H1 I've had oh and the first ZXR400 in UK I bought the A1 because it looked fooking gorgeous, that pointy fron looked supperb back in '84 .

The GPZ9 was awesome and always had that little bit extra when I needed it , good for you to have one now  :icon_thumright:

I had a GPZ900A1, it ate chains and sprockets, the front felt like it wanted to tuck in on any corner, but at the time it was a missile.  It also had the most expensive stainless brake hose kit imaginable, due to the anti-dive.  The single front line went to a splitter, the two following lines each went to a double ended banjo and then across to the caliper, so it was five lines at the front with six single stainless banjo bolts and one double, a nightmare.

cheers guys,
the cars running 1.5bar of boost, the methanol is to help lower the charge temps, it also makes the fuel more stable and oxygenates the fuel. The meth allows the mapper is able to run more ignition advance without getting det.

My car has had its fair share of probs, its only got 25k miles on the clock but has had the following done under warranty
front and rear shocks
boost control solenoid
steering rack and column changed

and its got another knock from the rear end still under investigation

if you do not have a decent dealer your pretty much screwed as International motors dont give a fuck once they have sold you the car.

The bike has been off the road for two years now due to problems encountered during the rebuild, and tonight I have just found the tank is rotten
When it was on the road I was doing 1000 miles a week...lol, will need to try and not do that esp as my mate was just charged 170 quid for his 4k service on his 10

Nice GPZ Graeme  :icon_thumright: Is that Mercury exhaust made by the same people who used to do Swona systems?

Impreza looks neat too  :icon_thumright:

Strange, never heard it being used as an octane booster before as it's mildly corrosive, plenty use toluene and xylene although I know Andy knows his stuff... I have used a 10% toluene mix in competitions before having the car remapped just for SUL. Must be a pain in the arse using it all the time?
