It's half-balls in my opinion. A Jap 600 triple is feasable given the huge success of the Triumph and now MV have got onto the scene, could very well happen.

Given the lack of top-end it would mean (and the R1 isn't exactly top of the charts in that respect already), and the 1000 already has a big USP of the crossplane crank, I doubt the bigger bike will have 3 cylinders any time soon. I'd like to see someone do a proper litre triple sportsbike though...saying that, they would be first to market, for the Japs anyway, with a litre triple so why not? Especially if they've got wind of a bigger Triumph sportsbike, which people seem to want to see.

Given the market I'd say they'd want some of the 600 sales then expand the range.

i have to disagree i do like a well sorted kettle  :headbang:

dont like the R6 or R1 so not really fussed what engine they put in it but if the R1 gets a tripple it might encourage triumph to produce a new 1000cc tripple daytona which if it looks anything like the 600 would be sexual

Yep, I'll give you that - do like kettles myself  :occasion14:

This was Kawasaki's watercooled prototype but it never made it to production.
