Today's ride
« on: May 06, 2007, 06:06:47 PM »

Cheers Jon good ride today. Gave me a good bench mark for my riding. I still lack confidence in the front on the twisties and not know the road.  Give me a bit more time and I'll be there.   Good bunch of guys as well.

You'll have to ask Jon I was to busy hanging on to his tail pipes trying to keep up to notice where we were going.

Yep it was a cool ride James and nice to meet you and to catch up with the guys.

They are a great bunch of guys and you know where they are now if you ever fancy another blast with them.

The pace was hot at the front but not so bad further back. You did well to keep up though as you didnt know the roads and still getting used to the bike. :icon_thumright:

We went from Corby to Melton Mobray MaccyD's, then on to stamford superbikes taking in  the lovely Bourne road. Then back to corby through Rutland and around that area. To be honest i dont know the route that well and just follow.

They love a few wheelies between them to dont they

Yeah it was good, two scary moments running wide  :emb: Me thinks I need a track or to learn the road.

Yeah it can get hairy if you follow by brake lights. Like i said your best off making your own decisions on where to brake, else thats the outcome.

The lad on the R6 was leading for a while and i was behind him. He was braking into a corner and getting it all sideways, then went to tip in and hadnt scrubbed enough speed off, so stood it up and ended up on the grass verge. Bet the old ring was puckered

I noticed the black lines into some of the corners and some coming out of them as well. [rofl] Th ebloke on the 10 form Corby is a demon rider. Knows his bike.
