hi all what chain lube are you using , i been looking and there is alot of diffrent ones out there,

Good old EP gear oil on a hot chain.
Wipe it dry after it's cold.
No flinging, no sticky shite all over the bike.

I get just over 22,000 miles from oem chain and sprockets, using mainly Wurth Dry Lube, and sometimes Motul in the winter.  I'm not convinced on gear oil for decent mileages, and Castrol wax tends to make grinding paste in wet weather.  I'm considering a Scottoiler for the "fit and forget" benefit, lubing a chain every two days gets a bit tedious.

What do you think the Scotoiler lube is?
EP is used by most of the race teams regardless of what the sponsor decals are on the bike.
Remember you are ONLY lubricating the the outside of the rollers on the sprockets - the rest is protected by O-rings and sealed.
OE chain using EP was changed at 20k ONLY because the swingarm was. It's still under the bench and perfectly serviceable.
All the cans are doing is making it "user friendly" to the majority of weekend racers - squirt and forget.
EP needs the excess wiping off when the chain is cold which let's face it - how many here would go back into the garage to do that after a ride out?
All of the super dooper sticky/no fling sprays will grab road grime and form a paste UNLESS you clean it off properly BEFORE you lube it again. Every 2 days is excessive too unless your covering 150-200 miles plus a day.

I use Motul factory line. It does'nt fling and I can easily see it going on when applying it as its white, saves me missing any or using too much. I also like Motul Chain Clean which I use every 2 or 3 applications. I re lube after every track day so the chain is doing 100-125 miles between lubes and gets cleaned properly every 300-375 miles. I do my road bike every 200 miles. Needless to say I don't get through many chains or sprockets
