The government couldn't afford to put him near any damger or where he get captured by the rebels.

That would be such an insentive for them to capture him that it would worsen the view of Tony and George by the whole world.

Can you imagine the headlines for that story and how if the infadels hadn't invaded the country then they would'nt be in the situation.

No I think that if he was in the country he would be kept safe and not allowed to go near any danger.

Blimey,
This is getting serious...... :icon_scratch:
Well I can see both sides, he wants to go and do a job, then let him go.
I can also see it from the army's side, he would be more of a liability to other people rather than to his country and himself. But that then comes to question why he should have been able to join the forces in the first place.

But then if I remember correctly during the Falklands war didn't Prince Andrew serve flying a helicopter I think in the battle zone as well.

Not sure on this one, but then I've never been in the military so I'm not really in a position to comment other than Mr. Joe Public.

it's a difficult call like everyone has said in here...........  :icon_scratch:

he's an educated lad and should be allowed to do what he wants but he would prob be targetted exposing his whole section to attack simply because he was there perhaps  :dontknow:

I think the main worry is if he got wounded & word got out that he was a different blood group to his brother !   [whistle]

Personally I don't think he should go, because as soon as word gets out that he was in the country, every shithead with an AK &/or RPG in the region will be heading towards the British controlled sector in search of becoming the 'glorious martyr' that took out a member of the royal family, so even if he's sat in a bunker someplace safe counter-signing loo-roll requisitions, there'll be a lot more casualties amongst the rank & file British troops simply due to his very presence there.

again though he's an officer...... they don't really get there hands dirty...... especially in a peace keeping duty they rarely go out on the ground at all..... experiences of NI they didn't come out with us on patrols at all they didn't come on the ground unless there was a large task and took more than a platoon to do even then they still only plan shit.... the guys just follow the shit through  :dontknow:
