Hi,

You can do both, prior to hearing you will be given a finacial report form. You fill out all your finacial details. This will show your avaliable income and if you ask to pay by instalments they will take all this into account and issue you with a Instalment plan.

they should have give you a means form to fill out with your summons, if not get one at the court and put all your outgoings on it, make sure its close to your income.
