Due for a test ride next weekend on an rr s1000, anyone tried one or got one? Any good or bad points?

Good points - Its a BMW, stupid power, handle like a dream, fast as fook..

Bad points - Expensive to repair if you crash it...

ride that, Then try the new ten and be amazed.

Also put traction control on level 1 or 2 or what ever is not the rain mode.  I nearly bought one, but the 10 is better, smoother. The BMW cuts the power and flashes a little orange light at you, like it's telling you off!!  (makes fast acceleration a bit on-off ish, like the traction control on the gs, rt, gt or even the GTR1400.

What the mags say is true on this occasion. KTC is better.

also if your going to test the abs by standing on the back brake to see how it works ensure the bike your testing actually has ABS fitted first  [whistle]

a guy off anova forum im on has had a bit of trouble with it, the steering damper bracket had snapped in half and the parts of the damper had started to rust so build quality prob isnt what it should be for 12 grand  :dontknow:

My mates has just gone in to sort an ongoing oil leak and they have found out too that the quickshifer has mashed up the gearbox! only 3k miles too  :shock:
