I'm going to have to give this one a miss unfortunately  :cry:

I had a car trackday booked with FE (via a car forum) and they fooked it up so was looking at doing this.
Luckily the car forum have relocated the event to Bedford Autodrome and having never done this before I will be attending to meet up with old friends and have a few pax laps in some rather nice metal.

So have Wheeltrax tour end of this month then car trackday too  :headbang:

Hope you all have a great time, sorry to miss this one though

Only a couple of days to go, I'm really looking forward to it. (fingers crossed the idea of the chicane on the main straight has been vetoed.)  ;-)

Robbo - How is the entrance we used last time, is it dry or is it as bad as it was last year? (I think I'll be there in plenty of time to use the other entrance though...)

Flipper, you should have had an email updating you to this effect;
There is an alternative entrance that will be open from 0630 to 0830- this is off the A607 and is a purpose made tarmac track for access ontop the airfield. We have limited use of this entrance however which will then revert to the same point of entry last year. However this route is in far better condition this year. The event was in October last year and we got caught out by a series of circumstances in days before the event. First of all the local farmer accessed his fields to lift his sugar beat. His tractors churned up the aggregate surface, on the friday there was torential rain which caused large puddles to form and the rest is history. It wasn't a good start to an otherwise really good day. This year things are different, an alternative entrance and the said route is in much better condition, it has had more aggregate put on it some time ago so it is bedded in, its been dry and the farmer is no where to be seen. Pending no torrents you should use it safely and without getting your bike all messed up :headbang:

Hi Robbo

Funnily enough I got that email and hour after I posted this, I'm glad all is good with the entrance we used last year, it won't be so scary riding through there.

See you saturday

Phil, Actiforce (Pete Clifford) will be there for suspension set up and he is bringing tyres both new and scrubs along to provide a tyre service for the day so all is good, I look forward to seeing you there on Saturday. Will you be providing first class camera footage again mate?

I'm gutted I didnt make it this time. But finances ( would need tow bar, new battery and tyres for track bike) did not allow this time. Please count me in for next year tho.
I'm glad u had a good time and Flipper: u are one lucky bugger  :icon_thumleft:

Matt, please pass on thanks to everyone involved in making this event happen.   [pray]
Well run event on an interesting, very fast circuit.  Must have had the throttle to the stop in 3 or 4 places through the gears and maxed out down the runway, awesome!  Knee down in a few places, and yes it is an abrasive surface - almost wore out the right side of a nearly new  Interact K2 rear in the day!
Even talked wifey into doing her 1st 'track day' on her VFR 800, bit intimidated at first, but enjoyed the experience.  She took my lad for a few pillion laps in the last session and he thought it was great, though he wouldn't go on the back of me!  :icon_scratch:
Anyway, good to meet up with the other lads from the forum - lucky escape there Flipper [whistle], great advert for R&G bungs though! :icon_thumright:
Once again, thanks for all the effort Matt and the team put into making the day a success and all for charity.  Lookin forward to the next one :headbang:
